Books, Books, Books!
From time to time I will be passing on various books that I think are relevant to the readers of this site. Today I have two books to recommend. The first is Gimp [$14] by Mark Zupan. For anyone that has seen the film Murderball you will remember Mark Zupan. This book provides the story of how Mark was injured, and his attitude towards having a disability. This book does a great job at addressing one of my favorite topics; how one can take a bad situation, and turn it into something really good.
Another book recommendation after the jump!
With basketball season upon us, it's time to get ready for another NBA season with The Book of Basketball [$17]. Written by ESPN's Bill Simmons, also known as "The Sports Guy", this 700-pager takes a very entertaining, and yet informed look at the NBA from the view of its fans, and is filled with interesting tributes to great players of the pasts, anecdotes, and enough stats to satisfy a math major.
